Tiffany Bracelets {a finished quilt and publication!!}

I’m so happy to finally be able to share my Tiffany Bracelets quilt with you!!  It is in the current Love Patchwork & Quilting Issue 22 (on stands in the UK now and will be in the US in a few weeks).

LPQ Issue 22 - Tiffany Bracelets

I had been in discussions with Jenny, the editor of LPQ, about a two color quilt in Tiffany blue and white.  We agreed that it needed to be something a bit different and modern.  After browsing Tiffany & Co.’s website for inspiration (and an adorable retro animation they had at the time), I came up with the idea of a row quilt similar to stacked bracelets.

Although I may never receive anything sparkly from that infamous blue box…I have my own set of bracelets that is classic and timeless in its own right.

Given the variety of blocks in this quilt, I felt simple quilting would be best to just let the blocks shine on their own.

And I happened to find the perfect backing to add just the right amount of sparkle to my bracelets with the silver and aqua print from Windham Fabric’s Sunshine Serenade line.  I seem to have the best luck in finding awesome coordinating quilt backs lately!  Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket 🙂

I have wanted a two color quilt in this combination for years.  I’m so happy to have one in my own design, that makes it all the more special.

Are there any two color combination quilts you have been wanting to make?  I’d love to hear them.

  1. It is absolutely beautiful. One of my favorite colors and the backing is so perfect. I have always been planning either an aqua or red and white quilt. Have to get the magazine!

  2. Love your quilt! Somehow teal/aqua have replaced hot pink as my color of choice in quilts! I have a two-fabric quilt I pieced 4 years ago that I just need to quilt – sage green and tea-dyed muslin. Must pull that one and get it quilted!!

  3. Both the front and back of “Tiffany Bracelets” are a perfect combination. I would rather have a quilt like yours than a bracelet from Tiffany’s.

  4. Absolutely beautiful! I wish I had your ability to not only design your own pattern, but know what to quilt on it.

  5. Tiffany’s Bracelet is beautiful contemporary quilt. It’s especially great for a teenage girl. Thanks for sharing.

  6. I’m away from home, again, and was just having a quick look through BlogLovin’ while the kettle was boiling when I saw this. It’s absolutely stunning! Congratulations on having designed and made such a gorgeous quilt.
