W.I.P. Wednesday {11.6.13}

Happy Wednesday!    I have a couple of projects I’m working on that I’d like to share today.  First is this simple quilt top that I pieced using the leftover layer cake squares from my Looking Up quilt.  I’m just waiting on the batting I ordered to arrive so I can get it quilted.

The next is this beauty that has been sitting partially quilted in my quilt cabinet for over 8 years!!!  I finally pulled it out and have resolved to finish it this week!

It’s a dreary day in my neck of the woods with all day rain expected…so perfect to work on binding tonight before bed 🙂  Now hopefully the roll of batting that is expected to be delivered today won’t get drenched on my porch before I get home from work!

Linking up with Lee at Freshly PIeced.

Hope you all have a great “hump” day.

  1. I absolutely love the big quilt – evokes family memories and I love the colors. That has to feel really good! Great job on both.

  2. You create such beautiful quilts! What are the size blocks and sashing on the leftover fabric? I have quilted for forty years. All my quilts are hand pieced and hand quilted and donated. If you ever have any ufos or wips that you wont finish. I would be proud to finsh you beautifl tops and donate it. I feel so proud to be a quilter, they are so generous and kind and always willing to help. babscorbitt@gmail.com
