Modern Mini Quilt Challenge

Jennifer at Ellison Lane is hosting a Modern Mini Quilt Challenge contest.  The point of this contest is to challenge yourself and try something new.   And according to the contest rules, a mini quilt can be a mug rug, mini quilt, pillow, table topper, etc. as long as it is between 6″ x 6″ and 24″ x 24″in size.

So, I decided my entry in the contest will be the Kaleidoscope Pillow I made for the Pillow Talk Swap 10.

This block is certainly something new for me and I had to create a paper piecing pattern for the size I wanted.

It was also a bit of a stretch for me in fabric and color selection, but I couldn’t be more thrilled with how it turned out.

Head on over to Ellison Lane to check out the other entries in the contest.

Thanks for stopping by,

  1. I agree. The colors just pop on the gray background. Are you thinking of making a tutorial or pattern of this? I’d LOVE to make one.
